Devonwood Condominium will provide up to 24 homes to individuals and families 55 years of age and older.  Homes styles at Devonwood include Duplex Ranch homes and Single Family Style homes (including Ranch, Cape Cod or Two Story Layouts).  

Duplex layouts include 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, either 1, 1 1/2 or 2 baths, laundry, living room, full kitchen with eat-in dining area and ample closet space.  Attached garages, covered porches, and your choice of crawlspace or basement foundations.  Some sites allow for the addition of sunrooms and additional bedroom plans.  Basement foundations may also be finished spaces, including egress windows and doors, to increase the living area or storage space of your duplex home.

If the carefree lifestyle of Devonwood appeals to you, but a Duplex style home does not meet your space requirements, consider building a Single Family Style home.  This includes all of our standard house designs: Ranch, Cape Cod & Two Story layouts.  There is a maximum size limit for these plans, and some sites are not suitable for these layouts. Single Family homes at Devonwood allow you the same benefits of Condominium Living (no lawn maintenance, no snow removal, no exterior upkeep). In addition to the ability to build a larger home and various design styles, a Single Family Home also allows you to add two stall garages and various porch designs to your plan.  Either crawlspace or basement foundations are available as well.  As Single Family homes will be built on 2 sites, the condominium fee is $100/mth for these homes. Homesites for single family homes are priced at $20,000.

Homes can be built handicap accessible with large doors, accessible outlets, kitchen cabinets with pull-out shelves, large showers with built-in seating and optional handrails.  Additional options will include decks, patios, sun rooms, 4 season rooms, fireplaces, air conditioning and more.

Devonwood is situated on 4 1/2 beautiful acres in the Village of Shelby.  Just 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue, it is conveniently located near churches, restaurants, shopping, physicians & Hackley Lakeshore Hospital.

Devonwood's cul-de-sac road is maintained by the Village of Shelby.  City water, city sewer, buried power and natural gas are all included in the community.  Devonwood offers maintenance-free living to its families.  All exterior upkeep of the homes as well as snow removal and landscaping will be provided by the Condo Association.  The monthly condo fee is $50 per month for duplex homes and $100 per month for single family homes.
